Note<\/b>: Bihar is currently home to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites namely: 1) <\/strong><\/span>Archaeological Site of Nalanda Mahavihara at Nalanda <\/span>and 2)<\/strong> Mahabodhi temple of Bodhgaya.<\/span><\/p>\n Cyclopean Wall is a 40 km long wall of stone built in Rajgir, Bihar.<\/span><\/p>\n Purpose<\/b>: It was built to encircle the ancient city of Rajgir to protect it from external enemies and invaders.<\/span><\/p>\n Built by:<\/b> It is believed<\/span> to have been built in the pre-Mauryan era<\/span> (<\/span>before the 3rd century BC) <\/span>using massive undressed stones.<\/span><\/p>\n Significance: <\/b>The walls are mentioned in the Buddhist works.
