Airports Authority of India(AAI) has launched an initiative named \u201c<\/span>\u2018Airport as Venue for Skilled Artisans of the Region(AVSAR)\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n Launched by: <\/b>Airports Authority of India(AAI)<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n Aim: <\/b>To <\/span>encourage the talent of craftsmen, women, and artisans and provide them with proper opportunities.<\/span><\/p>\n Under the initiative,<\/b> space will be allocated to Self Help Groups(SHGs) at the airports for the purpose of showcasing or selling the self-made products of their specific region.<\/span><\/p>\n At each AAI-operated airport, an area of 100-200 square feet has been earmarked for the SHGs.<\/span><\/p>\n On a turn-on-turn basis, this area will be provided to the SHGs for a duration of 15 days.<\/span><\/p>\n Significance: <\/b>The initiative will strengthen the SHGs by providing them with visibility and will prepare them to market and promote their products to a larger population from the country as well outside the country.<\/span><\/p>\n Source: <\/b>This post is based on the article <\/span>\u201cAAI airports provide platform to local artisans for promotion through AVSAR Scheme\u201d<\/b> published in<\/span> The Print <\/b>on<\/span> 8th April 2022.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What is the News?
