It is a species of primate.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Conservation Status<\/b><\/p>\n<p><b>IUCN Status: <\/b>Endangered<\/p>\n<p><b>CITES: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Appendix II<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Wildlife (Protection) Act of India, 1972: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Schedule I<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Habitat<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: It is commonly<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> found in the tropical scrub and deciduous forests as well as the dense hedgerow plantations bordering farmlands of Southern India and Sri Lanka.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 In Tamil Nadu, it <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">generally inhabits dry and drought-prone areas of the Dindigul district. It is found in acacia and tamarind-dominated thorn and scrub forests near cultivated fields.<\/span><\/p>\n<h6><b>Characteristics<\/b><\/h6>\n<p><b>Features:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It has got a lean and lanky appearance with long and slender limbs, larger ears, a pointed snout and eyes circled with black or dark brown. The fur is soft and wooly. The colour varies from dark grey to earthy brown.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Nocturnal Animal: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Grey slender loris is a nocturnal animal. It is also a slow-moving animal.
