The government of India has released the <\/span>final report of the Integrated Landscape Management Plan for Greater Panna Landscape.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Prepared by: <\/b>Wildlife Institute of India(WII)<\/span><\/p>\n Purpose: <\/b>The plan has been prepared in respect of the <\/span>Ken-Betwa Link Project <\/span><\/a>which has been approved by the Government of India in 2021.<\/span><\/p>\n Key Features of the Plan<\/b><\/p>\n The Plan analyzed the data and came up with detailed site-specific inputs for the implementation of the proposed activities under the Ken-Betwa Link Project.<\/span><\/p>\n For instance, it provides for better habitat protection and management of flagship species such as Tigers, Vultures and Gharial.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n The plan will help to holistically consolidate the landscape for biodiversity conservation and human well-being, especially in forest-dependent communities.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n It is also expected to enhance tiger carrying capacity in the landscape by strengthening connectivity with <\/span>Nauradehi Wildlife sanctuary and Durgavati Wildlife sanctuary in MP and Ranipur Wildlife sanctuary in UP.<\/b><\/p>\n Source: <\/b>The post is based on the article<\/span> \u201c<\/b>Integrated Landscape Management Plan For Greater Panna Landscape Released<\/b>\u201d <\/b>published in<\/span> PIB <\/b>on 2nd June 2022.<\/b><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" What is the News?
