The Commonwealth leaders have <\/span>adopted the Living Lands Charter at the 2022 <\/span>Commonwealth Heads of <\/span>Government meeting in Kigali, Rwanda.<\/span><\/p>\n It is a non-binding agreement adopted by the Commonwealth member countries.<\/span><\/p>\n Purpose: <\/b>The charter mandates member countries to safeguard global land resources and arrest land degradation while acting against climate change, biodiversity loss and towards sustainable management.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n On Climate Change, <\/b>the charter will <\/span>help to hold the global average temperature increase to 1.5 degrees Celsius.
