They construct nests with the leaves of host trees.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The chutney is made by maxing ants with ingredients such as grinding salt, ginger, garlic and chilly.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>Why do people consume Kai Chutney?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The tribes of Mayurbhanj consume Kai chutney or soup to get rid of flu, common cold, whooping cough, to increase appetite, and enhance vision and eyesight naturally without corrective eyewear among others.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>What are the other uses of Kai (Red Weaver Ant)?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The tribal healers prepare <\/span><b>medicinal oil <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by dipping the collected Kais in pure mustard oil.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Moreover, Kais are also <\/span><b>bio-control agents<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. They are aggressive and prey on most arthropods entering their territory.
