The Prime Minister has inaugurated several portals during the <\/span>seventh anniversary of the \u201cDigital India\u201d campaign.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Launched in:<\/b> 2015<\/span><\/p>\n Purpose: <\/b>It is a<\/span> flagship programme of the Government of India with a vision to transform India into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy.<\/span><\/p>\n Digital India campaign has helped save Rs 2.25 lakh crore from falling into the wrong hands in the past eight years.<\/span><\/p>\n The transparency that has come due to Digital India has eliminated corruption at various levels adversely affecting the poor and the middle class.<\/span><\/p>\n In the last eight years, more than Rs 23 lakh crore has been transferred through Direct Benefit Transfer(DBT) to beneficiaries.<\/span><\/p>\n Digital India helped the government tackle the crisis arising out of Covid pandemic. For example, CoWin and Aarogya Setu are two mobile applications that helped provide 200 crore vaccine doses.<\/span><\/p>\n Digital India Bhashini: <\/b>It aims to enable easy access to the internet and digital services in Indian languages including voice-based access. It will also help in creating content in Indian languages.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n \u2013 In addition to this, <\/b>it will also focus on building AI-based language technology solutions for Indian languages along with the creation of multilingual datasets.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n Digital India Genesis: <\/b>Digital India Genesis is the short for Gen-next Support for Innovative Startups. Its purpose is to create a National Deep-tech Startup Platform, in a bid to discover, support, grow and make successful startups in tier-II and tier-III cities of India.<\/span><\/p>\n MyScheme: <\/b>MyScheme is a service discovery platform facilitating access to Government Schemes.
