{"id":194781,"date":"2022-07-08T20:00:48","date_gmt":"2022-07-08T14:30:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=194781"},"modified":"2022-07-08T20:00:48","modified_gmt":"2022-07-08T14:30:48","slug":"finance-minister-chairs-1st-meeting-of-apex-monitoring-authority-of-national-industrial-corridor-development-programme","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/finance-minister-chairs-1st-meeting-of-apex-monitoring-authority-of-national-industrial-corridor-development-programme\/","title":{"rendered":"Finance Minister chairs 1st meeting of Apex Monitoring Authority of National Industrial Corridor Development Programme"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Source: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The post is based on the article<\/span><b> \u201c<\/b><b>Finance Minister chairs 1st meeting of Apex Monitoring Authority of National Industrial Corridor Development Programme<\/b><b>\u201d <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">published in<\/span><b> PIB <\/b>on <b>7th July 2022.<\/b><\/p>\n<h5><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Finance Minister chaired the 1st meeting of the Apex Monitoring Authority constituted to review the activities of the National Industrial Corridor Development programme.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>What is the National Industrial Corridor Development Programme(NICDP)?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Industrial Corridor Development Programme is India&#8217;s most ambitious infrastructure programme aiming to develop new industrial cities as &#8220;Smart Cities&#8221; and converge next-generation technologies across infrastructure sectors.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Objective<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: To <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">expand the industrial output, increase employment opportunities, and provide better living and social facilities for the new and growing workforce by way of providing plug n play infrastructure at the plot level for industries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">NICDC is developing <\/span><b>Eleven(11) Industrial corridors<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> comprising 32 projects in four Phases.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Funding<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Asian Development Bank (ADB) and the Government of India have signed a $250 million loan to support the NICDP.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Implementing Agency: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Industrial Corridor Development &amp; Implementation Trust (NICDIT).<\/span><b>\u00a0<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 NICDC Limited is a Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV) under the Administrative Control of DPIIT, Ministry of Commerce &amp; Industry.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Apex Monitoring Authority: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">An Apex Monitoring Authority under the chairmanship of the Finance Minister has been set up to periodically review the activities of the programme.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on the article \u201cFinance Minister chairs 1st meeting of Apex Monitoring Authority of National Industrial Corridor Development Programme\u201d published in PIB on 7th July 2022.
