Further, Boris Johnson also resigned as the leader of the Conservatives.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>About Boris Johnson<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>He led his party to a landslide <strong>parliamentary majority <\/strong>in December 2019, biggest since 1987. He was also involved in Brexit.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>Issues <\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>He was involved in a scandal. Therefore, he was tumbled out of the PM\u2019s office with farcical regularity.<\/p>\n<p>Since Brexit, the incomes aren\u2019t up and Britain isn\u2019t stronger.<\/p>\n<h5><strong>What are the morality lessons that should be learnt by other<\/strong><strong> democracies?<\/strong><\/h5>\n<p>Even leaders with massive mandates need to be mindful of the fact that the office needs to <strong>command<\/strong> at least a measure of <strong>respect<\/strong> and <strong>authority<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>political parties<\/strong> must respond faster when they sense their leaders are proving to be a liability.<\/p>\n<p>The world\u2019s elected leaders keep in mind that they shouldn\u2019t take the governed for granted.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on an article \u201cDon\u2019t Be A Boris\u201d published in The Times of India on 8th July 2022.
