What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n

The Union Education Minister has released the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) Rankings 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the National Institutional Ranking Framework(NIRF)?<\/b><\/h5>\n

Launched in:<\/b> 2015 by the Ministry of Education.<\/span><\/p>\n

Purpose<\/b>: To<\/span> rank colleges, universities and research institutions and also provides an overall ranking of all of them combined.<\/span><\/p>\n

Parameters<\/b>: The <\/span>framework judges institutions under five broad groups of parameters of 1)<\/strong> Teaching, Learning and Resources(TLR), 2)<\/strong> Research and Professional Practice(RP), 3)<\/strong> Graduation Outcomes(GO), 4)<\/strong> Outreach and Inclusivity(OI) and 5)<\/strong> Perception (PR).<\/span><\/p>\n

Categories: <\/b>The rankings have been announced for 11 categories. This includes overall, university, management, college, pharmacy, medical, engineering, architecture, ARIIA (Atal Ranking of Institutions on Innovation Achievements), law and research institutions.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are the key rankings of NIRF 2022?<\/b><\/h5>\n

Overall:<\/b> IIT-Madras has retained its number one position in the overall educational institutes and engineering categories this year as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

Universities:<\/b> Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru tops the Universities Category for the seventh consecutive year. It stood first in the Research Institutions Category for the second consecutive year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Management:<\/b> IIM Ahmedabad tops in Management subjects retaining its first position for the third consecutive year.<\/span><\/p>\n

Medical<\/b>: All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi occupies the top slot in Medical for the fifth consecutive year.<\/span><\/p>\n

College<\/b>s: Miranda House retains the 1<\/span>st<\/span> position amongst Colleges for the sixth consecutive year.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
