{"id":196474,"date":"2022-07-20T19:09:29","date_gmt":"2022-07-20T13:39:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=196474"},"modified":"2022-07-20T19:09:29","modified_gmt":"2022-07-20T13:39:29","slug":"national-culture-fund-national-culture-fund-has-completed-52-projects-with-various-donors-since-its-inception","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/national-culture-fund-national-culture-fund-has-completed-52-projects-with-various-donors-since-its-inception\/","title":{"rendered":"National Culture Fund: National Culture Fund has completed 52 projects with various donors since its inception"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The post is based on the article<\/span><b> \u201c<\/b><b>National Culture Fund has completed 52 projects with various donors since its inception<\/b><b>\u201d <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">published in<\/span><b> PIB <\/b>on<b> 19th July 2022.<\/b><\/p>\n<h5><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Minister of Culture has informed Lok Sabha about the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Culture Fund.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>What is the National Culture Fund?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">National Culture Fund(NCF) was set up as a Trust in 1996 under the Charitable Endowment Act, 1890.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Aim:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To establish and nurture partnerships in the field of Culture and Heritage with private and public sectors, government, non-government agencies and mobilize resources for the restoration, conservation, protection and development of India\u2019s rich, natural, tangible and intangible heritage.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Functions of the Fund:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> To <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">administer and apply the Fund for <\/span><b>1)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Conservation, maintenance, promotion, protection, preservation and up gradation of monuments protected or otherwise,<\/span><b> 2) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Training and development of a cadre of specialists and cultural administrators, <\/span><b>3)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Innovations and experiments in arts and for documentation of cultural expressions and forms that have lost their relevance in contemporary scenario.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Composition:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> NCF is managed by a (Governing) Council and an Executive Committee.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 The Council is chaired by the Union Minister of Culture.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 The Executive Committee is chaired by the Secretary (Culture).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Funding: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The nature of funding has been made very flexible under NCF.
