{"id":196643,"date":"2022-07-21T18:52:35","date_gmt":"2022-07-21T13:22:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=196643"},"modified":"2022-07-21T18:52:35","modified_gmt":"2022-07-21T13:22:35","slug":"vidya-samiksha-kendra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/vidya-samiksha-kendra\/","title":{"rendered":"Vidya Samiksha Kendra"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The post is based on the article<\/span><b> \u201c<\/b><b>Vidya Samiksha Kendra<\/b><b>\u201d <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">published in <\/span><b>PIB <\/b>on<b> 19th July 2022.<\/b><\/p>\n<h5><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Minister of Education has informed Rajya Sabha about <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vidya Samiksha Kendra.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>What is the need of Vidya Samiksha Kendra?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">There are various initiatives of the Ministry of Education like UDISE, Student Database, NAS, NIPUN BARAT, Teacher Database, DIKSHA among others.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, these initiatives are working in silos. Integrating various data sets of these initiatives by breaking the barrier of silos will help in effectively leveraging different entities towards a common goal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Hence, in view of this, States\/UTs have been advised to establish a Central system (Vidya Samiksha Kendra) at the state level.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>What will Vidya Samiksha Kendra do?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Vidya Samiksha Kendra(VSK) is aimed at leveraging data and technology to bring a big leap in learning outcomes.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It will help states in tracking student enrolment, progress in their learning levels, Out of School Children mainstreamed, textbook delivery, support required by teachers and schools etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Note: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Odisha, and Rajasthan are not considered for Vidya Samiksha Kendra as they are approved under the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/agreement-for-financial-support-to-stars-project\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">STARS Project.<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Financial assistance is not given to Gujarat as the State is already having the system.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on the article \u201cVidya Samiksha Kendra\u201d published in PIB on 19th July 2022.
