What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n

China has successfully launched its second space station lab module named <\/span>Wentian.<\/b><\/p>\n

What is Wentian?<\/b><\/h5>\n

The Wentian (which means “quest for the heavens”) laboratory module is the second module of China’s Tiangong space station.<\/span><\/p>\n

Purpose:<\/b> The lab module will provide a bigger platform for scientific experiments in space. It will also <\/span>function as a backup of the core module, Tianhe.<\/span><\/p>\n

Features:<\/b> The module is equipped with laboratory cabinets for life ecology, biotechnology and variable gravity science.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Tiangong Space Station?<\/b><\/h5>\n

It is a planned Chinese Permanent space station to be placed in Low Earth orbit.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Space Station roughly will have one-fifth the mass of the <\/span>International Space Station<\/b><\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The space station consists of t<\/span>hree modules — the core module, <\/span>Tianhe a<\/span><\/a>nd two lab modules, Wentian and Mengtian.<\/span><\/p>\n
