The Ministry of Culture through its autonomous organizations preserves and promotes Indian Art, Literature and Culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are those autonomous organizations which help in preserving and promoting Indian Art, Literature and Culture?<\/b><\/h5>\n

Sangeet Natak Akademi: <\/b>Click Here to read<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

National School of Drama<\/b>(<\/span>NSD<\/b>): It is a theatre training institute situated in New Delhi. It is an autonomous organization under the Ministry of Culture. It was set up in 1959 by the Sangeet Natak Akademi and became an independent school in 1975.<\/span><\/p>\n

Centre for Cultural Resources and Training(CCRT):<\/b> It is one of the premier institutions working in the field of linking education with culture. It was established in 1979 as an autonomous organization under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

Lalit Kala Akademi<\/b>: It was established in 1954 in pursuance of the dream of cultural and national identity. It was given statutory authority in 1957, under the Societies Registration Act 1860. It is the principal establishment to direct its focus on activities in the field of visual arts. <\/span>Headquarters:<\/b> New Delhi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kalakshetra<\/b>: It is a<\/span> centre for the study and performance of fine arts<\/span>. It was founded in 1936 by the <\/span>Rukmini Devi Arundale<\/b>. It was recognised by the Government of India as an Institute of National Importance by an Act of Parliament in 1993 and is now an autonomous body under the Ministry of Culture.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bhasha Samman:<\/b> It is an award constituted by Sahitya Akademi in 1996 to be given to writers, scholars, editors, collectors, performers and translators for promoting unrecognized languages of India<\/span><\/p>\n
