What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n

The Prime Minister has <\/span>participated in the Grand Finale marking the culmination of \u2018Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya \u2013 Power @2047\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

He also launched the Revamped Distribution Sector Scheme and National Solar rooftop portal. He also laid the foundation stone of various green energy projects of NTPC.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is <\/b>Ujjwal Bharat Ujjwal Bhavishya \u2013 Power @2047?<\/b><\/h5>\n

It is organized as part of the ongoing \u2018Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

Purpose:<\/b> It showcases the transformation in the power sector achieved in the last eight years. It aims to empower citizens by improving their awareness and participation in various power-related initiatives, schemes and programmes of government.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the National Solar Rooftop Portal?<\/b><\/h5>\n

The portal will have the following features:<\/span><\/p>\n

Firstly,<\/b> it will <\/span>enable online tracking of the process of installation of rooftop solar plants starting from registering the applications to release of subsidies in residential consumers\u2019 (‘beneficiaries\u2019) bank account after installation and inspection of the plant.<\/span><\/p>\n

Secondly, <\/b>it will make it easier for a residential consumer to apply and get the solar rooftop solar installed. The consumers will have the choice to select any vendor registered with the local distribution company, solar modules of equality and efficiency, solar inverter and other balance of plants and equipment.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What are the green energy projects launched?<\/b><\/h5>\n

Ramagundam floating solar project in Telangana: <\/b>It is located in Telangana. It is India\u2019s largest floating solar PV project with 4.5 lakh \u2018Made in India\u2019 solar PV modules.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Kayamkulam floating solar project in Kerala<\/b>: It is the second-largest floating solar PV project consisting of 3 lakh \u2018Made in India\u2019 solar PV panels floating on water.<\/span><\/p>\n

Nokh Solar Project in Rajasthan:<\/b> It is India\u2019s largest Domestic Content Requirement based Solar project with 1000 MWp at a single location, deploying high-wattage bifacial PV Modules with a tracker system.<\/span><\/p>\n

Green Hydrogen Mobility Project in Leh:<\/b> It is a pilot project and aims for five Fuel Cell Buses to be run in and around Leh. This pilot project would be the first deployment of Fuel Cell Electric Vehicles for public use in India.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kawas Green Hydrogen Blending with Natural Gas project in Gujarat:<\/b> It will be India\u2019s first Green Hydrogen Blending Project helping in reducing the usage of natural gas.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
