During his visit, both the countries reviewed bilateral ties and signed several agreements.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>What are the key highlights from the Maldives President&#8217;s visit?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><b>Counterterrorism:<\/b> <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To counter the threat of transnational crime, terrorism and drug trafficking in the Indian Ocean region, India will give 24 vehicles and one naval boat to the Maldives Security Force and help train the Maldives security personnel.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Greater Male Connectivity Project:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Both countries welcomed the launch of the <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/what-signing-of-the-500m-india-maldives-mega-infra-project-means\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Greater Male Connectivity Project,<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a $500 million project funded by India.
