What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n

Indian Computer Emergency Response Team(CERT-In) under the Ministry of Electronics and IT, Government of India in collaboration with the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore (CSA) has successfully designed and conducted the Cyber Security Exercise \u201cSynergy\u201d for 13 countries.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Exercise Synergy?<\/b><\/h5>\n

Type: <\/b>Cyber Security Exercise<\/span><\/p>\n

Conducted by: <\/b>Indian Computer Emergency Response Team(CERT-In) <\/span><\/a>in collaboration with the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore(CSA) for <\/span>13 countries.<\/b><\/p>\n

Aim:<\/b> To exchange best practices among member-states to build network resiliency against ransomware and cyber extortion attacks.<\/span><\/p>\n

The exercise was conducted as part of the <\/span>International Counter Ransomware Initiative- Resilience Working Group <\/b>which is being <\/span>led by India <\/b>under the leadership of <\/span>National Security Council Secretariat(NSCS).<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

Theme: <\/b>\u201cBuilding Network Resiliency to counter Ransomware Attacks\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

Scenario: <\/b>The exercise scenario was derived from real-life cyber incidents, in which a domestic level (limited impact) ransomware incident escalates to a global cyber security crisis.<\/span><\/p>\n

Significance: <\/b>The exercise was successful in meeting its objectives and provided insights for better coordination and cooperation among CRI Member States to build network resiliency and counter ransomware attacks.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
