What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n

On the occasion of National Teachers\u2019 Day, the Prime Minister has announced a new initiative – PM SHRI Schools.<\/span><\/p>\n

Full Form:<\/b> PM<\/b> S<\/b>c<\/span>H<\/b>ools for <\/span>R<\/b>ising<\/span> I<\/b>ndia(PM SHRI)<\/span><\/p>\n

Nodal Ministry<\/b>: Ministry of Education<\/span><\/p>\n

Type<\/b>: Centrally Sponsored Scheme<\/span><\/p>\n

Aim:<\/b> To upgrade and develop more than 14500 Schools across the country by strengthening the selected existing schools from amongst schools managed by Central Government\/ State\/ UT Government\/ local bodies.<\/span><\/p>\n

Features:<\/b> PM-SHRI schools will have a modern, transformational and holistic method of imparting education.<\/span><\/p>\n

The focus of these schools will be on modern infrastructure including latest technology, smart classrooms, sports and more.<\/span><\/p>\n

They <\/span>will also be developed as \u201cgreen schools\u201d with water conservation, waste recycling, energy-efficient infrastructure and integration of an organic lifestyle in the curriculum.<\/span><\/p>\n

Hence, these schools will showcase all components of the National Education Policy 2020<\/a> <\/strong>and act as exemplar schools and also offer mentorship to other schools in their vicinity.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
