Since 2014, the government has substantially increased investment in the field of science and technology.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">With the Government&#8217;s effort, India ranked 46th on the Global Innovation Index. In 2015, India ranked 81 in GII.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To make India a global centre of research and innovation, both centres and states need to boost efforts to take research related to science and technology to the local level.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">State governments need to frame modern policies related to science, innovation, and technology to find solutions to local problems.
