What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n

National Commission for Protection of Child Rights(NCPCR) has added several new features to the<\/span>\u00a0\u201cE-Baal Nidan\u201d portal.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the <\/b>E-Baal Nidan Portal?<\/b><\/h5>\n

Launched by:<\/b> National Commission for Protection of Child Rights(NCPCR) <\/span>in 2015.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Purpose: <\/b>It is an online portal wherein any person can register a complaint reporting any violation committed against a child.<\/span><\/p>\n

After registration of the complaint, the complainant will get a complaint registration number. Through this number, the progress of redressal of the complaint in the Commission can be tracked by the complainant.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are the new features added to the <\/strong>E-Baal Nidan Portal?<\/b><\/h5>\n

Firstly,<\/strong> NCPCR will be providing user IDs and Passwords to the State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (SCPCRs)<\/span> to enable them to view the complaints registered on the portal to take necessary action. The portal will also have an option of transferring the registered complaints from NCPCR to the concerned State Commission.<\/p>\n

Secondly,<\/strong>\u00a0an option of joint inquiry will also be provided to the state commissions if they want the involvement of NCPCR in complaint resolution.<\/p>\n

Thirdly<\/strong>, there will be a bifurcation of complaints based on the nature of the complaint into their subject matters like Juvenile Justice, POCSO, Labour, and Education.<\/p>\n

What is the National<\/b> Commission for Protection of Child Rights(NCPCR)?<\/b><\/h5>\n

NCPCR is a statutory body constituted under Section 3 of the Commission for Protection of Child Rights (CPCR) Act,2005 to protect child rights and other related matters in the country.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The Commission is further mandated to monitor the proper and effective implementation of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act, 2012; Juvenile Justice (Care and Protection of Children) Act, 2015 and the Right to Free and Compulsory Education (RTE) Act, 2009.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
