He regularly fought against the evils of the Hindu religion.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Thevar became a full-time member of the Congress party and attended the 1927 Congress session at Madras as a volunteer when he was just 19.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He became a close aide of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose. Netaji introduced Thevar to his mother as his younger sibling.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 1939, he assisted activist A.
