In 2020, the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) also joined Malabar making it a quadrilateral exercise.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>What does the Malabar exercise include?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The exercise includes simulated war games and combat manoeuvres.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It also includes complex exercises including anti-surface, anti-air and anti-submarine warfare drills. These combat drills will enhance synergy and mutual understanding among the four navies.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Apart from drills, the bilateral logistics support agreements between the participating countries were validated during this edition of the exercise.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>How does China view the Malabar exercise?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">China views Malabar as an anti-China group formed by a \u201cconcert of democracies\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on the article \u201cMALABAR 22 Culminates\u201d published in PIB on 16th November 2022 What is the News?
