The G20 Bali Declaration was finally adopted by consensus even though it failed to overcome serious differences over the Russia-Ukraine war.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are the key highlights of the G20 Bali Declaration?<\/b><\/h5>\n

On Russia-Ukraine war: <\/b>The declaration acknowledged differences among members on the Russia-Ukraine war but stressed that it was<\/span> \u201cessential to uphold international law and the multilateral system\u201d as \u201ctoday\u2019s era must not be of war\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 It also said that the threat of use of nuclear weapons is inadmissible.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 The declaration also recognised that G20 is not the forum to resolve security issues. However, it agreed that security issues can have significant consequences for the global economy.<\/span><\/p>\n

On Terrorism: <\/b>The <\/span>declaration called upon the international community to \u201cstep up\u201d efforts to counter money laundering, terrorism financing and proliferation financing and urged the Financial Action Task Force (FATF) and FATF Style Regional Bodies to \u201clead global action\u201d to respond to these threats.<\/span><\/p>\n

Other issues covered: <\/b>The declaration covered a range of issues from climate change to corruption, and from Covid vaccination to imparting computer skills to women.<\/span><\/p>\n

How has India contributed to this G20 declaration?<\/b><\/h5>\n

The G20 declaration proclaimed \u201ctoday\u2019s era must not be of war\u201d, echoing the Indian PM\u2019s remarks before the Russian President on the sidelines of the SCO summit in September.<\/span><\/p>\n
