What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n

National Education Society for Tribal Students(NESTS) and 1 Million For 1 Billion Foundation (1M1B) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding(MoU) to train teachers and students of Eklavya Model Residential Schools(EMRSs).<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the objective of the MoU signed between NESTS and 1M1B?<\/b><\/h5>\n

The programme objectives include conduct of training and capacity-building programs for teachers and students of <\/span>Eklavya Model Residential Schools (EMRSs).<\/span><\/a><\/p>\n

The program will capacitate the teachers & students with Augmented Reality(AR) and Virtual Reality(VR) skills using the AR-VR skills curriculum launched by CBSE.<\/span><\/p>\n

In pilot phase, the programme is being implemented in EMRSs of 2 states namely Rajasthan and Uttarakhand.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the National<\/b> Education Society for Tribal Students(NESTS)?<\/b><\/h5>\n

NESTS is an autonomous organization established under the Ministry of Tribal Affairs(MoTA).<\/span><\/p>\n

Aim: <\/b>To provide high-quality education to the tribal students in their own environment.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is <\/b>1 Million For 1 Billion Foundation(1M1B)?<\/b><\/h5>\n

1M1B <\/span>is a USA based Not for Profit Company accredited to the United Nations Organization.<\/span><\/p>\n

Purpose:<\/b> It is a social innovation and future skills initiative aimed at redefining education in a conventional sense.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Significance: <\/b>It is aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to enable students to drive change with increased capacities.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 It also has special consultative status to the UN Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) and is associated with the UN Department of Global Communications.<\/span><\/p>\n
