What is the News?<\/b><\/h5>\n

The Indian Air Force is conducting the Annual Joint Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief(HADR) Exercise ‘Samanvay 2022’ at Air Force Station Agra.<\/span><\/p>\n

The exercise will see <\/span>participation by representatives from the Association of Southeast Nations (ASEAN) countries as well.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Exercise Samanvay?<\/b><\/h5>\n

Conducted by: <\/b>Indian Air Force<\/span><\/p>\n

Purpose:<\/b> It is an Annual Joint Humanitarian Assistance and Disaster Relief(HADR) Exercise.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aim: <\/b>To assess the efficacy of <\/span>i<\/span>nstitu<\/span>ti<\/span>onal Disaster Management structures and contingency measures<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 T<\/span>o provide a <\/span>uni<\/span>q<\/span>u<\/span>e platform for the exchange of domain <\/span>k<\/span>now<\/span>l<\/span>edge<\/span>, <\/span>exper<\/span>i<\/span>ence and bes<\/span>t <\/span>p<\/span>r<\/span>act<\/span>i<\/span>ces <\/span>w<\/span>ith <\/span>th<\/span>e partic<\/span>i<\/span>pa<\/span>ti<\/span>ng ASEAN membe<\/span>r <\/span>countr<\/span>i<\/span>es.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The exercise w<\/b>i<\/b>ll consist of: <\/b>Sem<\/span>i<\/span>na<\/span>r <\/span>on Disaster Managemen<\/span>t, <\/span>a <\/span>‘<\/span>Multi-Agency Exercise<\/span>‘ <\/span>i<\/span>nvolving static and flying dis<\/span>p<\/span>lays of var<\/span>i<\/span>ous HADR assets and a <\/span>‘<\/span>Table <\/span>To<\/span>p Exercise<\/span>‘<\/span>. <\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Significance: <\/b>The exercise <\/span>will promote a synerg<\/span>i<\/span>stic approach towards HADR by va<\/span>r<\/span>ious national and reg<\/span>i<\/span>onal stakeholders <\/span>i<\/span>nvolved <\/span>in <\/span>D<\/span>i<\/span>saster Management i<\/span>n<\/span>cluding <\/span>th<\/span>e C<\/span>i<\/span>v<\/span>i<\/span>l Adm<\/span>in<\/span>ist<\/span>r<\/span>ation<\/span>, <\/span>the A<\/span>r<\/span>med Forces<\/span>, <\/span>NDMA<\/span>, <\/span>N<\/span>I<\/span>DM<\/span>, <\/span>NDRF<\/span>, <\/span>DRDO, BRO<\/span>, <\/span>IMD<\/span>, <\/span>NRS and INCOIS.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
