This entails the use of surveillance cameras and drones on the western and eastern theatres (Pakistan and Bangladesh fronts, respectively).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Secondly,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> BSF has developed some low-cost technology solutions that help them mount effective surveillance in the border areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Thirdly,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> BSF is undertaking a forensic study of the seized drones to get useful information from the chips inserted in them like its flight path, launch pad and destination and the duration of the flight among other things.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Fourthly, <\/b>the <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">procurement of many vehicle-mounted anti-drone systems(ADS) is under consideration by the Ministry of Home Affairs(MHA).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Fifthly,<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> a <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/govt-adopts-multi-pronged-approach-to-check-infiltration-of-illegal-migrants\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Comprehensive Integrated Border Management System(CIBMS)<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> exists for the integration of manpower, different sensors and networks so as to facilitate decision-making and prompt process at various levels.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on the article \u201c16 drones shot down along Pakistan border in 2022: BSF\u201d published in The Hindu on 1st December 2022.
