It enables the prospective visitor to apply for an Indian Visa from his\/her home country online without visiting the Indian Mission and also pay the visa fee online.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">e-Visa has been divided into several categories such as e-tourist visa, e-Business visa, e-Medical visa, e-Conference, e-Medical Attendant and e-Emergency Visa.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5><b>What happened to e-visa during the pandemic?<\/b><\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Government of India had suspended e-Visa for all countries during the COVID-19 pandemic and had not been restored for the citizens of the U.K and some other countries.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">This curtailment of e-visas and difficulties getting visa appointments had frustrated travel plans for Britians including planned family visits to India.
