The <\/span>Ministry of Civil Aviation <\/span>has launched several initiatives and schemes in 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

Regional Connectivity Scheme UDAN (Ude Desh ka Aam Nagrik)<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

<\/b>Operation Ganga<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

India’s contribution in CORSIA\/LTAG resolution by International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO): <\/b>India has been concerned about the implications of the <\/span>Carbon Offsetting and Reduction Scheme for International Aviation (CORSIA)<\/span><\/a> on the developing States.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

The aviation markets in developing states are on a growth trajectory phase and have not flourished yet compared to the aviation market in the developed States. Hence, India wanted to <\/span>negotiate the baseline in favour of the developing States\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

India\u2019s consistent efforts have successfully resulted in Resolutions being passed by the ICAO General Assembly for allowing national time frames to not include any mandatory targets that could lead to punitive measures and to incorporate the principle of common but differentiated responsibilities in ICAO\u2019s Long Term Aspirational Goals (LTAG).<\/span><\/p>\n

India\u2019s re-election to ICAO Council: <\/b>During the 41<\/span>st<\/span> General Assembly of ICAO, India has been re-elected to the ICAO Council (2022-2025) which comprises countries which make the largest contribution to the provision of facilities for international civil air navigation.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Drones: <\/b>Drone certification scheme has been notified making it easier to obtain type certificates by drone manufacturers.<\/span><\/p>\n

Drone import policy has been notified banning the import of foreign drones and freeing up the import of drone components.<\/span><\/p>\n

Drone (Amendment) Rules,2022 abolished the requirement of a drone pilot license.<\/span><\/p>\n

Drone melas were organised in 12 states across the country to highlight the use cases and the policy reforms.<\/span><\/p>\n

Aircraft Leasing and Financing: <\/b>International Financial Services Centres Authority (IFSCA) issued a \u2018Framework for Aircraft Leases\u2019 to enable the aircraft leasing business in IFSCs in India.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Krishi Udan <\/span><\/a>-Seamless cost-effective time bound air transportation for \u2018Annadata\u2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Greenfield Airports Policy,2008: <\/b>It provides guidelines, procedures and conditions for the establishment of new Greenfield Airports in the country.
