The Ministry of<\/span>\u00a0Defence <\/span>has launched several initiatives and schemes in 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n

Agnipath<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

INS Vikrant<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

LCH \u2018Prachand\u2019<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

Indian Naval Air Squadron(INAS) 325 <\/b>operating the indigenously built Advanced Light Helicopter (ALH) Mk-III, was commissioned into the Indian Navy. The unit was the second ALH MK III Squadron commissioned into the Indian Navy.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 ALH MK II is the state-of-the-art multi role helicopter developed and manufactured by HAL.<\/span><\/p>\n

Two frontline warships of the Indian Navy <\/b>\u2013 <\/span>\u2018Surat\u2019 and \u2018Udaygiri\u2019<\/b><\/a><\/p>\n

Diving Support\/Survey vessels: <\/b>Two Diving Support Vessels(DSVs) – Nistar and Nipun – built by Hindustan Shipyard Ltd were launched.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 DSVs equipped with an array of complex Diving Support systems and Deep Submergence Rescue Vessels are being deployed for deep sea diving and submarine rescue operations. The ships are capable of conducting Search and Rescue operations and carrying out Helicopter Operations at sea.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Offshore Patrol Vessel<\/b>: Indigenously built Offshore Patrol Vessel for Indian Coast Guard, Saksham was inducted. The ship has been designed and built by Goa Shipyard Ltd and is fitted with advanced technology navigation and communication equipment, sensors and machinery.<\/span><\/p>\n

Green Mobility Initiative: <\/b>In order to achieve a reduction of carbon footprint and in keeping with the Government\u2019s initiative towards the introduction of Green mobility, the Indian Air Force(IAF) has introduced Tata Nexon Electric vehicles. The IAF plans to enhance the usage of electric vehicles in a progressive manner by procuring e-vehicles against downgraded vehicles.<\/span>
