The Ukraine President spoke to the Indian Prime Minister to discuss India\u2019s ongoing G-20 Presidency and Ukraine\u2019s \u201c10-point Peace Plan\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Ukraine\u2019s 10 point peace plan?<\/b><\/h5>\n

The Ukraine President first announced his peace formula at a November summit of the Group of 20 (G20) key economies. The plan calls for:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

1. Radiation and nuclear safety, focusing on restoring safety around Europe\u2019s largest nuclear power plant, Zaporizhzhia in Ukraine, which is now-Russian occupied.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. Food security, including protecting and ensuring Ukraine\u2019s grain exports to the world\u2019s poorest nations.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. Energy security, with focus on price restrictions on Russian energy resources, as well as aiding Ukraine with restoring its power infrastructure, half of which has been damaged by Russian attacks.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. Release of all prisoners and deportees, including war prisoners and children deported to Russia.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. Restoring Ukraine\u2019s territorial integrity and Russia reaffirming it according to the United Nations Charter.<\/span><\/p>\n

6. Withdrawal of Russian troops and cessation of hostilities, restoration of Ukraine\u2019s state borders with Russia.<\/span><\/p>\n

7. Justice, including the establishment of a special tribunal to prosecute Russian war crimes.<\/span><\/p>\n

8. Protection of the environment with focus on demining and restoring water treatment facilities.<\/span><\/p>\n

9. Prevention of escalation of conflict, and building security architecture in the Euro-Atlantic space, including guarantees for Ukraine.<\/span><\/p>\n

10. Confirmation of the war\u2019s end, including a document signed by the involved parties.<\/span><\/p>\n

What has been the world\u2019s response to this Ukraine peace plan?<\/b><\/h5>\n

Russia rejected Ukraine’s peace proposal and reiterated that it would not give up any territory it has taken by force, which is about a fifth of Ukraine which it says it has annexed.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Western world\u2019s support for Ukraine\u2019s military has run into billions of dollars, led by the US and nations have rushed to help Ukraine with de-mining and fixing its power infrastructure.
