The Finance Minister in Budget 2023-24 has announced several initiatives in the technology sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

Labs for Developing 5G Services<\/b><\/p>\n

The Government of India has proposed to set up 100 labs for developing applications using 5G services in engineering institutions across the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

These labs would develop applications in the fields such as smart classrooms, precision farming, intelligent transport systems and healthcare.<\/span><\/p>\n

Artificial Intelligence<\/b><\/h2>\n

Three Centres of Excellence for artificial intelligence will be established in top educational institutions across the country.<\/span><\/p>\n

National Data Governance policy<\/b><\/h2>\n

The government will bring a National Data Governance policy which will<\/span> enable access to anonymised data. This will unleash innovation and research by start-ups and academia.<\/span><\/p>\n
