The deadline for the PM KUSUM scheme to install 30,000 MW solar power capacity in rural India by 2022 has now been pushed to March 2026<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is <\/b>Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Uttham Mahabhiyan(PM-KUSUM)?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Launched in:<\/b> 2019<\/span><\/p>\n

Nodal Ministry:<\/b> Ministry of New and Renewable Energy<\/span><\/p>\n

Aim:<\/b> To provide energy and water security to farmers, enhance their income, de-dieselise the farm sector and reduce environmental pollution.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Components: <\/b>PM-KUSUM scheme supports three different kinds of installations, known as the three components of the scheme as given below:\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 Component-A: <\/b>10,000 MW of decentralized ground-mounted grid-connected renewable power plants of individual plant size up to 2 MW.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 Component-B<\/b>: Installation of 20 lakh standalone solar-powered agricultural pumps.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 Component C<\/b>: Solarisation of 15 lakh existing grid-connected Agriculture pumps.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n
