It is also an important sub-system of the CBTC (Communication Based Train Control) Signalling system.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Developed by<\/strong>: DMRC and Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)<\/p>\n<p><strong>Advantages<\/strong>: <strong>a)<\/strong> It will reduce the metro\u2019s dependence on foreign vendors for metro operations, <strong>b)<\/strong> The technology is flexible enough to work with different signaling vendors\u2019 systems with suitable changes.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What is the significance of launching i-ATS?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>-i-ATS is the first ever indigenously developed Train Control and Supervision System in India.
