They named them in the document.<\/p>\n<p>External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar also issued a <strong>Chairman\u2019s summary and outcome documents too. <\/strong>For the first time, Finance Ministers meetings have not attempted to issue statements at all.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What are the opportunities provided by the Indian G20 presidency?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>Mr. Jaishankar has pointed out that the bulk of the statements that pertain to the <strong>critical issues for the Global South<\/strong>, such as food and energy security and debt management have been ironed out.<\/p>\n<p>India has opportunities for enlisting those countries in the grouping that are not part of <strong>entrenched camps of the G\u00ad7, U.S.\u00adled developed world, and the Russia\u00ad-China combine<\/strong>. It will ensure that a <strong>middle path<\/strong> is found.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>What is the way forward for India as G20 President?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>There is clarity that India cannot depend on the <strong>language of the Bali Summit.<\/strong> Sherpas will need to iron out a <strong>new consensus language on Ukraine<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>This will require <strong>creative formulas.<\/strong> It should take into account <strong>Russian grievances with the language<\/strong>, as well as the <strong>western desire to condemn Russia\u2019s actions <\/strong>in the Bali document.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source&#8211; The post is based on the article \u201cCreative formulas: On India, G20 and the Ukraine conflict\u201d published in The Hindu on 4th March 2023.
