This is to convert them into digital payment-enabled villages in observance of 75 years of independence.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Note<\/em><em>: <\/em><\/strong><em>PSOs (currently there are 67 PSOs) are entities authorised by RBI to set up and operate a payment system.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Aim<\/strong>: To improve awareness and onboard merchants for digital payments.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Significance<\/strong>: The Har Payment Digital campaign aims at reinforcing the ease and convenience of digital payments and facilitating the onboarding of new consumers into the digital fold.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on the article \u201cRBI initiates 75 digital villages programme\u201d published in the Indian Express on\u00a07th March 2023.
