The process of <strong>filing a cyber-crime complaint is also difficult for non-tech people.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<h2><strong>What can be done to prevent cyber-crimes by the Financial Institutions?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p><strong>First,<\/strong> they need to <strong>spread awareness<\/strong> and talk about the issue to the general public.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Second,<\/strong> they should take several measures to publicise the issue. <strong>For example,<\/strong> everyone opening a new bank account should receive mandatory warnings about not getting trapped into the scam.<\/p>\n<p>They should also <strong>message regularly on social media<\/strong> about the common scams and how to avoid them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Third,<\/strong> Financial institutions need to <strong>lobby authorities to make it easier<\/strong> to file cybercrime complaints.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fourth,<\/strong> they also need to explore ways to make it more difficult for criminals to scam people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on the article\u00a0\u201cLet&#8217;s talk about crime\u201d published in Business Standard on\u00a011th March 2023.
