It was formed <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">by combining lutetium (a rare earth metal) with hydrogen and nitrogen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Naming:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It has been named reddmatter after observing how the material\u2019s hue changed from blue to pink to red as it got compressed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Characteristics<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">: It can operate at room temperature (21 degrees C) and much lower pressure (10,000 atmospheric pressure) than previously discovered superconducting materials.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Applications: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is the <\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">first commercially accessible material that eliminates the loss of energy as electricity moves along a wire.
