To withstand those temperatu\u00adres, radomes located at the tip of a missile are made of ceramic.<\/p>\n<h3>How present demand for ceramic radomes are met?<\/h3>\n<p>The ceramic radomes have been developed indigenously by Research Centre Imarat (RCI) which has developed India\u2019s missile arsenal.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Note<\/strong>: RCI is India\u2019s premier DRDO laboratory for carrying out R&amp;D in the technologies of control engineering, inertial navigation, imaging infrared seekers, radio frequency seekers and systems, onboard computers and mission software.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2>What is ceramic?<\/h2>\n<p>It is classified as inorganic and nonmetallic material.
