Of this, around 205 TPD is biodegradable and 95 TPD is non-biodegradable.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Out of the 95 TPD non-biodegradable waste, only about 5 TPD is recycled. But this is only possible when people follow proper segregation.\u00a0<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Second,<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">\u202fthe <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">municipality must ensure that only non-biodegradable dry waste is sent to the plan<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">t and separately manage the other kinds of waste.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Third,<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> it is also necessary that <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">biodegradable-waste-processing plants should operate efficiently.<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> Else, all the waste would be transferred to Waste to Energy Plants which might affect its power generation capacity.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Fourth,<\/span><\/b> <span data-contrast=\"auto\">Segregation should be <\/span><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">streamlined to ensure the waste coming to the facility has 2,800-3,000 kcal\/kg calorific value<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> for proper generation of electricity.<\/span><span data-ccp-props=\"{&quot;201341983&quot;:0,&quot;335559739&quot;:200,&quot;335559740&quot;:276}\">\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b><span data-contrast=\"auto\">Fifth,<\/span><\/b><span data-contrast=\"auto\"> the department responsible for SWM should be practical about the high cost of power generation.
