A new catfish species named \u2018Exostoma Dhritiae\u2019 was discovered by scientists of the Zoological Survey of India(ZSI) in Arunachal Pradesh.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is Exostoma Dhritiae?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Exostoma Dhritiae is a new species of catfish of the genus Exostoma.<\/span><\/p>\n

It is a small fish locally called \u2018Ngorang\u2019 by local tribals.<\/span><\/p>\n

The species has been named \u2018Exostoma Dhritiae\u2019 after Dhriti Banerjee, the first woman director of the ZSI.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was found in Siking stream, a tributary of the Siang River in the Upper Siang district of Arunachal Pradesh.<\/span><\/p>\n
