It will further investigate Open AI, the maker of ChatGPT, on its data collection practices as per the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR) 2018.<\/p>\n<h2><strong>Why is there a need to regulate the applications of AI?<\/strong><\/h2>\n<p>An AI-focused ethics group in the US demanded to investigate OpenAI for<strong> violating consumer protection rules. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Microsoft has<strong> integrated ChatGPT<\/strong> in its search to find popular applications worldwide. It has raised <strong>multiple ethical and legal concerns<\/strong> and\u00a0 has shown the ChatGPT\u2019s ability to produce <strong>mass misinformation.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>There is a need to <strong>protect fundamental rights<\/strong> in relation to <strong>biometric applications<\/strong> such as emotion recognition where machines recognise human emotions, and <strong>AI polygraphs <\/strong>where machines detect deception by individuals.<\/p>\n<p>The advanced tech has <strong>seamlessly integrated<\/strong> into our lives without our recognition of their impacts.
