Syllabus: <\/strong>GS2- Issues related to development and management of education<\/p>\n Relevance<\/strong>– Issues related to educational reforms<\/p>\n News<\/strong>– The draft National Curriculum Framework (NCF) for School Education 2023 is proposed by the government.<\/p>\n It has recommended major changes in assessment<\/strong> across different levels of schooling.<\/p>\n It envisages students moving across arts, commerce and science<\/strong> more freely, an increase in self-assessment<\/strong>, and board exams taking place at least twice a year.<\/p>\n The document should be put in the public domain<\/strong> soon. That will remove unjustified fears<\/strong>. It will also encourage stakeholders to start a constructive engagement<\/strong> with reform proposals.<\/p>\n Education policymakers should take lessons from the past experiments<\/strong>. Continuous and comprehensive evaluation<\/strong> was ushered in 2009 but has to end in 2017.
