M<\/span>angrove pitta is a species of passerine bird in the family Pittidae native to the eastern Indian Subcontinent and western Southeast Asia.<\/span><\/p>\n

Distribution<\/b>: Bangladesh, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Singapore, and Thailand.<\/span><\/p>\n

In India, it is found in a few pockets of eastern India, including Odisha\u2019s Bhitarkanika and West Bengal\u2019s Sundarbans.<\/span><\/p>\n

Habitat<\/b>: It is found in mangrove and nipa palm forests where it feeds on crustaceans, mollusks and insects.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
