The Supreme People&#8217;s Assembly (SPA) is a rubber-stamp\nbody with no power. It is the only legislative body in North Korea. The\nelection for SPA is held every five years.<\/li><li>The Parliament has three factions. The Workers&#8217;\nParty, led by Kim Jong-un is the leading part. The two other parties are the\nSocial Democratic party and the Chondoist Chongu party. These three parties are\ngrouped together as the Democratic Front for the Reunification of Korea.<\/li><li>Voting for the Supreme People&#8217;s Assembly (SPA)\nis mandatory and there is only one candidate for each seat. Theoretically people\nhave the right to cross out the single candidate but there has been no instances\nof dissent.<\/li><li>Democratic\nPeople&#8217;s Republic of Korea or North Korea is an East Asian country constituting\nthe northern part of the Korean Peninsula. It is an isolated, nuclear armed\ncountry ruled by the Kim family dynasty.
