What is the News?<\/b><\/h2>\n

The Central Government will soon launch <\/span>one-stop centres called \u201cReduce, Recycle and Reuse\u201d where citizens can deposit old clothes, shoes, books, toys and plastic that can be reused or recycled.<\/span><\/p>\n

What are Reduce, Recycle and Reuse(RRR) Centres?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Reduce, Recycle and Reuse(RRR) Centres are being launched to reduce waste generation in Urban India.<\/span><\/p>\n

These centres will serve as a one-stop solution for citizens, institutions, commercial enterprises, etc to deposit unused or used plastic items, clothes, shoes, footwear, books, and toys.<\/span><\/p>\n

The items will then be given to different stakeholders to be refurbished for reuse or would be made into new products contributing to a circular economy.<\/span><\/p>\n

The centres would be set up as part of a nationwide campaign \u2018Meri LiFE, Mera Swachh Shehar\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n

What is the Meri LiFE, Mera Swachh Shehar campaign?<\/b><\/h2>\n

Meri LiFE, Mera Swachh Shehar (\u2018My Life, My Clean City\u2019) campaign has been launched under the aegis of the Swacch Bharat Mission \u2013 Urban 2.0 (SBM-U 2.0).<\/span><\/p>\n

The objective of the campaign is to take collective action for the protection and conservation of the environment by adopting sustainable daily habits.<\/span><\/p>\n

The campaign <\/span>will culminate on 5th June 2023 with the Pledge for LiFE, that will be undertaken by everyone on the occasion of World Environment Day as well as large-scale cleanliness drives across all cities.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
