Poor nutrition can lead to cognitive impairments<\/strong>. This can result in lower educational attainment<\/strong>. It limits opportunities for employment and economic self-sufficiency<\/strong> later in life.<\/p>\n

The convergence of various government initiatives<\/strong> such as the Scheme for Adolescent Girls (SAG) within the umbrella of the Prime Minister\u2019s Overarching Scheme for Holistic Nutrition programme (POSHAN) 2.0 is a step in the right direction.<\/p>\n

There is a need for effective convergence and collaborations<\/strong> among all the relevant departments. Routine training<\/strong> of health workers for effective implementation and monitoring<\/strong> of various schemes is also a crucial step in this process.<\/p>\n

A holistic narrative<\/strong> on adolescent girls\u2019 nutrition. It should explain its linkages with mental and physical well-being<\/strong>, individual productivity<\/strong> and overall economic growth of the country.
