Prepared by: <\/b>Bureau of Energy Efficiency (Ministry of Power) in collaboration with NITI Aayog.<\/span><\/p>\n

Objectives of the report:<\/b> To provide granular information about energy supply and consumption patterns across various sectors of the Indian economy.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013 To provide an overview of the impact of various energy conservation policies and their associated carbon dioxide emission reduction and monetary savings.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

What are the key findings of the report?<\/b><\/h2>\n

India conserved 249 billion units (BUs) of electricity to save Rs 1.60 lakh crore in bills for the 2021-22 financial year.<\/span><\/p>\n

The total equivalent reduction in CO2 emissions is around 280 Million Tonnes annually.<\/span><\/p>\n
