{"id":249742,"date":"2023-06-27T18:49:41","date_gmt":"2023-06-27T13:19:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=249742"},"modified":"2023-06-27T18:49:41","modified_gmt":"2023-06-27T13:19:41","slug":"union-minister-launches-nandi-noc-approval-for-new-drug-and-inoculation-system-portal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/union-minister-launches-nandi-noc-approval-for-new-drug-and-inoculation-system-portal\/","title":{"rendered":"Union Minister launches NANDI (NOC Approval for New Drug and Inoculation System) Portal"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><b>Source:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> The post is based on the article<\/span><b> \u201c<\/b><b>Union Minister launches <\/b><b>NANDI (NOC Approval for New Drug and Inoculation System) Portal\u201d <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">published in<\/span><b> PIB on 26th June 2023<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry &amp; Dairying has launched Nandi Portal.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is Nandi Portal?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><b>Developed by: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD)<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Full Form:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Nandi stands for NOC Approval for New Drug and Inoculation System.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Purpose: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The portal will allow new veterinary drugs and vaccines to be approved and granted no-objection certificates (NOCs) through online mode.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 The portal will also be integrated with the <\/span><b>SUGAM portal of the Central Drugs Standard Control Organization(CDSCO) <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">to make the approval process more streamlined.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Note:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> CDSCO lays down the standards for drugs, and regulates the import, manufacturing, and marketing of all medicines and vaccines in India including veterinary drugs.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 But the permission for veterinary drugs is granted only after consultation with the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry, and Dairying. Earlier, this system was manual.
