{"id":251438,"date":"2023-07-10T19:08:21","date_gmt":"2023-07-10T13:38:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=251438"},"modified":"2023-07-10T19:08:21","modified_gmt":"2023-07-10T13:38:21","slug":"india-joins-the-champions-group-of-the-global-crisis-response-group","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/india-joins-the-champions-group-of-the-global-crisis-response-group\/","title":{"rendered":"India joins the Champions Group of the Global Crisis Response Group"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The post is based on the article <\/span><b>\u201cIndia joins the Champions Group of the Global Crisis Response Group\u201d <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">published in <\/span><b>PIB on 9th July 2023<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">India has joined the Champions Group of the Global Crisis Response Group (GCRG).<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is the Champions Group of the Global Crisis Response Group (GCRG)?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Champions Group of the Global Crisis Response Group (GCRG) was set up by the UN Secretary-General in March 2022.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Aim: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To address urgent and critical global issues pertaining to interlinked crises in food security, energy, and finance and to coordinate a global response.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Led by: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">UN Deputy-Secretary-General leads the Steering Committee of the GCRG involving 32 UN agencies, international and regional financial institutions, and multi-stakeholder partners.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Overseen by: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">It is overseen by the Champions Group.The group comprises the heads of Government of Bangladesh, Barbados, Denmark, Germany, Indonesia and Senegal.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Working groups: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Within the Group, three work streams on Food, Energy and Finance has set up.They will collate data and generate analysis, policy recommendations and solutions to support decision-making and advocacy for consideration of the Steering Committee.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 These workstreams will remain flexible and responsive to opportunities that seek to resolve immediate crises and the vulnerabilities of people and countries.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on the article \u201cIndia joins the Champions Group of the Global Crisis Response Group\u201d published in PIB on 9th July 2023 What is the News?
