{"id":252063,"date":"2023-07-14T19:48:58","date_gmt":"2023-07-14T14:18:58","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blog.forumias.com\/?p=252063"},"modified":"2023-07-14T19:48:58","modified_gmt":"2023-07-14T14:18:58","slug":"tele-law-reaching-the-unreached","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/forumias.com\/blog\/tele-law-reaching-the-unreached\/","title":{"rendered":"Tele Law : Reaching the Unreached"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><b>Source: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The post is based on the article \u201c<\/span><b>Tele Law : Reaching the Unreached<\/b><b>\u201d <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">published in<\/span><b> PIB <\/b>on<b> 13th July 2023<\/b><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is the News?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Tele Law program has revolutionize<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">d<\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> access to pre-litigation advice and\u00a0 empowered over 46 lakh beneficiaries nationwide with free legal advice.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>What is the Tele<\/b><b> Law Initiative?<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Tele Law Initiative was launched by the Department of Justice in 2017.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Purpose:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> It is an e-interface mechanism to seek legal advice and consultation at a pre-litigation stage with the aim of \u2018Reaching the Unreached\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Under this initiative, <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">smart technology of video conferencing, telephone \/instant calling facilities available at the vast network of Common Service Centres at the Panchayat level are used to connect the indigent, down-trodden, vulnerable, unreached groups and communities with the Panel Lawyers for seeking timely and valuable legal advice.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u2013 In addition, the service can also be accessed through the Tele Law Mobile App (available on Android and iOS).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Cost: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Tele Law is provided free of cost to those persons entitled to free legal aid under Section 12 of the Legal Services Authorities (LSA) Act, 1987, and at a nominal fee of Rs. 30\/- per consultation for \u201cothers\u201d.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Real time data: <\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A dedicated Tele Law dashboard has been developed to capture real-time data on the nature of cases registered &amp; advice enabled.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Significance:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Tele Law initiative has made legal consultation both easily accessible and highly affordable for the common citizens.<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Source: The post is based on the article \u201cTele Law : Reaching the Unreached\u201d published in PIB on 13th July 2023 What is the News?
